12 Things I Know For Sure

One of my favourite newsletters is SuccessNet. It’s author and CIO (Chief Inspiration Officer), Michael Angier, is a wise man. He also writes well.

Today, he asked me a very important question. His question was: “What do you know for sure?” Here is my answer:

  1. Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice!
  2. What goes around, comes around!
  3. Integrity and building trust pay big dividends!
  4. My contentment and joy will vary in direct proportion to the extent that I encourage and serve my family and, then, others!
  5. My words can be either a source of encouragement and strength or destruction and despair.
  6. I am accountable!
  7. I am wise to major in my strengths and work around my non-strengths!
  8. Satisficing’ is my key to better stress harmonization and time utilization!
  9. Focus on and persistence in following my life purpose and dreams will pay off!
  10. Change is constant and growth is optional. I must never stop learning!
  11. Living life to the fullest, forever, is the only way to fly!
  12. The "good news" of Jesus Christ is God's powerful way of saving all people who have faith.

One thing I know for sure: No matter what a mess we have made of our lives, or what our needs are, individually or collectively, God is still in control, and while He does not always 'cure' us, He is always willing to 'heal' us if we let Him.

Yours is a comforting thought for many, Ken. The experience of many also confirms the truth of what you say. Thanks! Gary

Gary - here are a couple things I know for sure.

- Building trust is difficult. Losing trust is easy.
- Details matter.

Nice blog!

Agreed, Rich! Trustworthiness is foundational and the devil is in the details.

Hi Gary,

The one thing that I know for sure is that I don't know many things.

Well, that helps in motivating me to learn more, and to be open for criticism.

Thanks,
Zaki
