Iran's is a Dangerous Regime
Some of you are old enough to remember the terrifying, daily headlines about the threats to the lives of the Americans who were kept hostage by Iranian terrorists in the U.S.'s own Embassy ...for months after the riots broke out in Tehran.
Remember an Embassy is a place of safety and refuge for foreigners in civilized, and even hostile, countries in most other places in the world ...except Iran. (We Canadians can be proud that a Canadian embassy official was instrumental in getting many of the Americans trapped in Iran, in 1979, out and home to safety)
We are wise to examine not only what the heads of this barbaric regime say during this season. But also what they have done during the past 30 years. Only in this way can we really understand the underlying basis of the real threat facing the Body of Christ and all Infidels, as Iran's leaders and other terrorists love to call us.
Remember though: The threat to your family is from radical and violent Islamism, the ideology, NOT Islam, the religion. And it is Iran's seemingly insane leaders that are one major source of the threat to us ...NOT the Iranian people nor Muslims generally ...despite what some Christians are saying on the WWW.
You can watch an Arab reporter interview a well-known Muslim in the video here. He shares his startling views on this issue of radical ideology which he calls "...our problem in the Arab world".
This site here will educate you more about this threat. You can subscribe to breaking news updates there by e-mail if you wish.
Another excellent and helpful site is that of Dr. Tawfik Hamid, a prior terrorist turned Reformer. You can discover how he distinguishes between Islamism, the ideology that maims and kills, and Islam, the religion at his site here. His article on the elimination of the Iranian regime as a major key to resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict is here.
Please take a few minutes to educate yourselves on Iran and the dangers of Islamism.
Please also tell your colleagues, friends, neighbours and relatives why it is so important to look at Iran's regime as a dangerous one. That's because Iran's is a regime filled with violent men. They are bent on destroying not only Israel and the Great Satan, the U.S, but also you and your kids and everyone else in Western society whom they call Infidels.
Beware because of the spirit that possesses Iran's leaders that drives them to recurring murder of Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
These followers of Shia, not Sunni, Islam are called Shi'as but are also known as Shiites. They passionately believe that by terrorizing and murdering us that they will hasten the coming of their messiah. But their 'Mahdi' or 'Medhi', as he's know but seldom talked about in the media, is not the loving Jesus of the Bible Whom they say they honour and respect.(Some teach that their Madhi is "The Antichrist", the unknown person, organization or thing that the Bible talks about a lot, using many different names, but does not describe clearly.)
Beware, educate yourself and, especially, pray! Our key, spiritual warfare weapon is far more powerful than than the dirty nuclear bombs that Iran's leaders also are trying to get their deadly hands on.
How you feel about these issues I'd love to hear.

The "greening" of Canada

With considerable fanfare the Liberal Party of Canada announced it's new "Carbon Tax" on June 20, 2008. It will serve as the core of Mr. Dion's platform for the next Federal election in 2009.
You'll be hit with a flood of Liberal propaganda about it over the coming weeks and months leading up to the coming election.
What's a carbon tax all about? Is it good for Canada's economy? Will it help us meet our ambitious green house gases reduction targets? Will it stimulate productivity in Canada? Is it really revenue neutral as the Liberals say?
Most importantly, how will affect you? And is it good for your family?
You'll discover the answer to some questions you may have, and explore some new ones you maybe haven't thought of, in the article Half Shift by the Editor of Maclean's Magazine, Andrew Coyne.
You need to know what it's all about to make an informed decision. For it carries a $40 billion price tag!
Once you've read what Mr. Coyne has to say, please come back and leave a comment. Express yourself! It's free ...and freeing!!
Now It's Your Turn!: Please share how you feel and what you think about the issues and/or what Mr. Coyne says. For example: "What about the principle of a 'carbon tax'?" and "How do you feel about the Liberal's spending ambitions that Coyne says they have hidden in their plan's verbiage?" or "Do you agree with him that : "The whole thing smacks of calculation ..."?" Is Canada Really A Wallflower at UN Dance?

What do you think about the U.N.? How about our participation in it? Might you think we should have pushed harder for a so-called 'coveted seat' on the UN Security Council ...despite the various costs to Canada, it's reputation and the values of many of it's citizens?
Well, Lynda Hurst lamented we should have in her news feature in the Toronto Star on May 20th. She extensively quoted Paul Heinbecker, Canada's U.N. Ambassador from 2001-2004. He held the job under the former Liberal Government and their Middle East foreign policy.
Jonathan Kay of the National Post wrote on the same subject from a different perspective in his piece on the same day. He was kinder than Ms. Hurst and Mr. Heinbecker to the current Conservative Government, led by Stephen Harper, and their differing foreign policy approach to Israel and the Palestinian Authority than that of the Liberals. He felt that Ms. Hurst's and Mr. Heinbecker's call for Canada to take a more "fair-minded" stance is really and anti-Israel position.
Mr. Kay took flack regarding his position. So he wrote a follow-up piece on May 21st. In it he commented further on his last line from his piece the day before.
"If the UN is an institution where principle must be left at the door, where the only way to gain advancement is to toe a party line dictated by Muslim dictatorships, where our Western allies are fodder for committees and agencies dominated by rogue states", Mr. Kay concluded, "… then maybe the question isn’t why we aren’t more popular at the UN. It’s why we’re a member there at all."He also said some other things that some would say are extreme.
Now It's Your Turn!: Please share how you feel and what you think about what you've just read above and the newspaper articles involved. For example: "Are Ms. Hurst's and Mr. Heinbecker's positions really anti-Israel?" or "Is Mr. Kay right and we should get out of the U.N. altogether."
